Cookie Policy

Effective 1 May 2026

1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. They are widely used to make websites work, remember your preferences, and provide information to site owners. We use cookies and similar technologies (such as local storage) to operate the FlipTheScript Service.

2. Cookies We Use

We use only strictly necessary cookies. These are essential to operate the Service and cannot be switched off. They do not store any personally identifiable information beyond what is needed to maintain your session. Session cookie (fts_session) — keeps you logged in while you use the Service. Set when you sign in; expires when you sign out or after a period of inactivity. Refresh cookie (fts_refreshed_at) — records the last time your session was refreshed, to prevent unnecessary re-authentication requests. Not readable by Anthropic or third parties. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking cookies, or any cookies that profile your behaviour across other websites.

3. Local Storage

In addition to cookies, we use your browser's local storage for certain preferences that improve your experience, such as remembering whether you have dismissed an in-app prompt. This data is stored on your device only and is not transmitted to our servers.

4. Third-Party Cookies

We do not embed third-party advertising or analytics scripts that set their own cookies. Our payment provider, Paddle, may set cookies in connection with the checkout flow when you subscribe or update your billing details. These are governed by Paddle's own cookie and privacy policy.

5. Your Choices

Because we only use strictly necessary cookies, we do not require your consent to set them under the UK PECR and UK GDPR. You may disable cookies in your browser settings at any time, but doing so will prevent you from signing in and using the Service. Most browsers allow you to view, manage, and delete cookies via their settings. For instructions, see the help section of your browser.

6. Changes to This Policy

If we introduce new cookies or similar technologies — particularly any that would require your consent — we will update this policy and display an appropriate notice before setting them. The effective date at the top of this page shows when the policy was last updated.
